Here is the 1994 Chesterfield Rinaldi Yamaha YZ 250 Mike Brown will represent team USA when he races at next weekend’s Vets MXDN at Farleigh Castle here in the UK.
The bike has been a LOT of work (I’d guess about 150 hours)as there simply isn’t much out there parts-wise so we had to make a bunch of them including clamps, bar mounts, linkage, discs & mag cases. There was also a lot of fabrication work by Alltech and Woodrow Motorsport - this has to be one of, if not THE best bikes we’ve ever built. We managed to get input from Michele Rinaldi and lots of man hours making it look like it should. We know the original one ran @ohlinsracing conventional forks but we went for the USD versions as well as Ohlin shocks simply because of the cost and availability. It’s very, very trick and we’re looking forward to seeing Mike Brown ride the wheels off the thing.
