When we had the opportunity to build a bike for a legend like Alex Puzar we jumped at the chance.
The Italian World Champion has always been a firm favourite of mine with his hard charging style and 'never say die' attitude. Plus, the fact he is still riding frequently and was really up for winning the event.
We built this 1990 Suzuki RM 250 into the Chesterfield team colours for him to race. The bike has semi works 49mm USD forks, the cone pipe, factory RE aluminium tank plus lots of very trick parts. In my opinion, one of the best colourways you will see on any RM 250.
Unfortunately Alex crashed and broke his hand the week before the event meaning he never got to race the bike. It was a crying shame after we spent over 200 hours building the bike, plus a considerable amount of money.
We took the bike to the event alongside a second bike which was almost identical to put on display. The bikes were both sold to private collectors unused, what a shame, still, that's racing I guess!
